There are a lot of different actions that you can perform on your iPhone without even unlocking the device. Many of these are helpful, but the lack of physical buttons and screen space means that Apple had to get creative with the ways that it made those items accessible.
In the case of the Wallet, you can open it by double-clicking the Home button while the screen is locked. If you use the Wallet a lot, this can be rather handy. If you do not use the Wallet very much, then it can actually be rather frustrating. Our tutorial below will show you where to find this setting and disable it so that you can avoid accidentally opening the Wallet on your iPhone in the future.
How to Disable the “Double-click Home Button” Option for the Apple Wallet
The steps in this guide were performed on an iPhone 7 Plus, in iOS 10. These steps will also work for other iPhone models that use Apple Wallet.
Step 1: Open Settings.
Step 2: Select Wallet & Apple Pay.
Step 3: Tap the button to the right of Double-Click Home Button to turn it off.
Now your iPhone will not get items from your Wallet ready when you double-click the Home button on the lock screen.
Are you receiving a lot of unwanted text messages or phone calls on your iPhone? Take advantage of the call blocking feature on the device so that those texts and calls stop coming through.
